WHO WE ARE

York Avenue Church of God opened its doors to the community for the first time in 1929 and since then, the church has been an anchor point for people in Warren, OH. After holding physical weekly services for over 85 years, they launched online service and now reach people all over the country.

OUR PASTOR

Eric Brown Sr. is the Senior Pastor of York Avenue, along with his wife of 22 years, Christol. Located in the southwest side of Warren, Ohio, they have a call to serve their city and make an impact in people’s lives through the life-transforming message of Jesus’ power and love.
Pastor Eric served in the United States Navy for 24 years and received his license through the Church of God (Anderson, IN) in 2003. He was ordained in 2006 while under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Johnny Graham at York Avenue where he served for 8 years. He graduated from Youngstown State University in 2006 earning his Associates Degree in Information Technology. In 2018 he earned his Masters of Theology and was conferred with his Doctorate of Biblical Studies in 2019.
Pastor Eric has been serving as the Senior Pastor of York Avenue Church of God since October 2013.
